Welcome to the first post for the new 2B! What a great class they are! Mrs Swan and Mrs Brown are very happy to have them – and they have shown everyone how special they are by winning the Headteacher’s Trophy in the first week!

We shared the Trophy with 1S  – and had an extra playtime on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate! What a great start to the year.

Here we all are dressed in pink and red to raise money for the Pink Rose Suite at Grimsby Hospital. The whole school took part -but we had a special Tea Party with Mrs Dalby and Mrs Swan too!

Here are some photos of the tea party we had last Friday – which was to celebrate winning the Headteacher’s Trophy again!. Mrs Harrison joined us this time!  We all enjoyed our drink and biscuits!

Everyone did really well in our class assembly. All the words were loud and clear and everyone, including the audience [!] enjoyed it!

Now for some photos of our Tea Party in the Staff Room. We have had two so far – for winning the Headteacher’s Trophy - and we will have another one on Friday 9th July!

There has been a gap in our Blog  – but here is a Catch Up! We have been very busy with our Tennis Sessions, Litter Picking, the African Storytelling Project, the Year 2 Football Tournament and two Tea Parties with Mrs Holmes bcause we again [twice!] won the Headteachre’s Trophy!

2B have had great fun with everything we have done! Here are some photos of our activities.

On Monday 15th March a real author came to our school. He is called Paul Nivek and he read one of his books, called ‘Anni’s Fur Coat’, to 2B. We all listened carefully, could answer his questions well and enjoyed the story! Thanks to Paul for his visit!

More good news for 2B! On Monday 22nd March we got our 7th Headteacher’s Trophy for getting lots of Golden Tickets. We are sharing the Trophy with Reception this week – so well done to them too!

Our School Science Morning on March 12th was a resounding success. Everone enjoyed it a lot – and there were loads of parents around the school who were enjoying joining in with the fun!

All of Year 2 took part in the Grimsby Schools Infant Festival on Tuesday March 2nd. We all enjoyed it, everyone tried really hard. Mr Johnson, who organised the festival. said it was one of the best he had been involved in! Brilliant result Year 2!
